Steve Yamamoto, 84, of Riverside, Calif., was among
the Japanese Americans who interrogated Japanese prisoners, intercepted Japanese military communications
and interpreted documents for the U.S. military during
World War II. The photo next to Yamamoto is when he
was a U.S. Army captain on leave in Chicago in 1945.
